Directions to Flying Field

The Mountaineer Fying Field is located South of St. Albans near where Smith Creek Road crosses the Coal River.

From St. Albans - Follow Coal River Rd. approximately 5.5 miles from where it intersects with Main Street. Turn left on Smith Creek road at the Coal River Bridge. The entrance to the flying field is on the left, one half mile after the bridge.

From St. Albans - Turn left on to 2nd st. from Route 60 (at the Subway). Follow this road for three miles then turn left through the tunnel. Follow the main road (Dogwood then Ferrel) until you intersect Smith Creek Road. Turn right onto Smith Creek, and the entrance to the field is 1/10 mile on the right.

From South Charleston - From Chestnut Street turn right on Kanawha Turnpike towards Rock Lake. Follow this road (now Smith Creek) for 6.6 miles. The flying feild will be on the right just after passing Ferrel Road.
